Mail Order Husbands: Paranormal Gay Romance (Fated Date Agency Book 3) Kindle Edition
Edmund Knox is an upstanding citizen, a devoted father, and the alpha of a large urban shifter pack. He came out of the closet when he got divorced, but his numerous responsibilities haven't allowed him to date in recent years. No, he isn't lonely - or at least, he'd never admit to that kind of weakness.
When Edmund gets a little too controlling about his daughter's love life, the rebellious teen realizes he might be less uptight if he had a love life of his own. Taking matters into her own hands, she writes to the Fated Date Agency pretending to be Edmund.
Normally, the agency lets shifters contact their matches over email. But Edmund Knox isn't a normal shifter. For an alpha of his stature, the agency is going to take a more hands-on approach. By the time Edmund finds out what his daughter did, it's too late to stop the agency from delivering his mate to his door.
The agency had to pull a few strings to get the troubled young omega out of prison and into Edmund's arms, so they're not going to let this relationship fail. Not even when Edmund finds out exactly what crime Lieber committed.
Will the strict older alpha be able to forgive the sins of the past? And will the hardened criminal who's his mate even want to change his ways?
Mail Order Husbands is Book 3 of the Fated Date Agency series. It also stands alone as a complete 200-page gay shifter romance novel.
Guaranteed HEA ending and no cliffhangers!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2016Dragged out of prison and getting told he has a fated mate, Lieber is dumped at Edmunds house.
But how will the alpha accept that his mates are a convict and might still keep secrets.
Fast and easy read. Enjoyable series.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2019Mail Order Husbands by Abraham Steele is a paranormal romance. Mr. Steele has provided readers with a well-written book and furnished it with outstanding characters. This is a quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. It is a M/M romance though, so it may not be everyone's cup of tea. It's also written in first person, alternating point of view format, not my favorite. Edmund is the alpha of his wolf shifter pack with a sassy teenage daughter. She orders him a mail order husband and tells him after the deed is done. Lieber is in prison when he's unexpectedly released on probation, thanks to the string-pulling of the Fated Date Agency. Edmund and Lieber's story is loaded with drama, humor, steamy sex and suspense. I enjoyed reading Mail Order Husbands. Mail Order Husbands is book 3 of the Fated Date Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2017I love PNR books and I really love when a man goes all alpha...OMG let's just say this book will bring out the omega in any submissive. But what do you do when you can't trust your fated mate? What would you do if you had a secret you could not tell your fated mate? Do you walk away or do you give them time to prove their worth? These are all questions that must be addressed to find that HEA. Come find out with me as we travel this Fated Mate Dating Agency.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2015I loved this one even more then the first two. The complicity of their situation was amazing. The lack of trust and complete trust, the love, the sadness and anger. It was all awesome. I loved how they had to work together to get past everything and how he turned to someone who should have hated him. Loved it
- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2017I truly enjoyed all the previous Fated Date Agency books I've read, not so much this one. It started out great but soon had me quite disappointed due to the main characters dispositions. Edmund, the alpha, is moody, bossy and only seems to have time for other pack members. Rebecca, his hormonal daughter, is a controlling brat. Lieber, his fated mate who's released early from prison, has absolutely no gumption, and does whatever his evil brother tells him to do---even knowing it's wrong and illegal. This book had great potential, but just surprisingly disappointed me, as I generally love all Abraham Steeles other books.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2017As this is my first shifters book I found it quiet interesting. It had a good plot and the characters were very entertaining. It was a fast read that was very well constructed. A job well done.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2017Get this book. This is a really, really good romance story with a good plot. I found that this is one of those stories that l will keep and read again. You won't be sorry if you get this story
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2015While I normally enjoy Abraham Steele's mpreg stories (fluffy but fun), this one fell flat for me. Edmund (the Alpha) and Lieber (the Omega) have got to be the most unlikable lead characters I've come across in a long time.
Edmund is cantankerous and rigid, but without any redeeming qualities to soften the edges. He can't even remember how old his teenage daughter is, yet he barks rules and standards of behavior left and right. However, he does seems to have the time and desire to sit down with a pack member's wayward son to make a list to discuss possible future careers. In my opinion, Edmund is too wishy washy and volatile in temperament, never a good combination.
Lieber isn't much, well, of anything. His presence is so muted to be almost undesirable. Here we have an entirely juicy past to play with and we're never truly privileged to any of it. Very disappointing.
The daughter, Rebecca, is whiny and rebellious.
Praya, The Fated Dating Agency creator, is pushy and manipulative.
There was not a single character I liked. The only thing worthwhile is Abraham Steele's interesting (though contrived) premise that could have been downright delicious with a new cast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommend !!
Omg I love this book. Writing is spot on, the characters are so engaging and I just couldn't put the book down reading right into the wee hours.
Definitely recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Full of drama and a surprise ending
I like to think that I read a large variety of books on all subjects. I freely admit to liking shifter stories: maybe one day I will then be prepared for the time when I met one!
This is a different approach to the usual shifter romance being about two males. Of course love and mates have their differences, as is common for all species, and we are swept along on their journey of trust and faith.
A surprise ending full of drama and romance. Definitely one for your to read list.

4.0 out of 5 stars Needs to be longer
This romance stars a pairing I've never seen before; one is the father of a rebellious teenage daughter, and the other is an ex-prison inmate. I have mixed feelings towards Edmund, because though I know he has good intentions, and though I know he is a pack leader, I still felt he was way too domineering, possessive, and a bit of a control freak. He was still an interesting character to read about, however. For Lieber, it was hard for me to respect him at first, even though I felt bad for him, but he earns your respect later on.
As usual, I felt that the book was way too short. I would be very happy if it was even a little longer, so the relationship between the two would be more developed and we would get to know Lieber and Edmund more. I can't help feeling that their characters could have been much deeper and more complex than what two hundred pages would allow.
For other things, I quite like Rebecca, Edmund's daughter, and I felt sorry for her that she has such a controlling and overly strict (in my opinion) father. She and Trey were actually rather sweet in a way, but I won't spoil the story.
However, I don't understand how Praya could have gotten a hold of Lieber's file and scent. He never even knew about the agency, and prior to this book, I don't believe the Fated Date Agency can match anyone who hasn't applied to the agency already. It would be nice if we got an explanation of this somewhere in the story.
On the other hand, I like how even though each book in this series is a stand-alone, we get to see how the Fated Date Agency evolves over time. It makes me very curious to see what will happen to the FDA and Praya in the sequels!

This was a nice easy HEA PNR book with some conspiracy and intrigue thrown in.
Engaging and good story line.

4.0 out of 5 stars good read
I really enjoyed this book. Edmond and Lieber were interesting main characters. Initially communication is a problem with these two, but I think that is due entirely to the circumstances they meet under and the unknown history between the two. Edmonds daughter is a typical PITTA teenager. The matchmaker really, really annoying. This is the only book I've read from this series but The others are calling to me.
